Back in February YouTube TV announced that they are adding new channels but also that they will be raising their price. Now today is the last day to get YouTube TV for just $35 a month for life… Yes I said life and that comes from Christain Oestlien the Director of Product Management at YouTube TV yesterday at SXSW. (Note: always subject to change but that is what was said during the SXSW panel I hosted yesterday.)
YouTube TV sent out emails saying that starting March 13 new subscribers to YouTube TV will be paying $40 a month for the service. So you only have two days left to get YouTube TV for $35. According to reports, YouTube TV will be honoring the current price for current subscribers as long as they stay subscribed. (Always subject to change.)
With this price change YouTube TV has added TNT, Adult Swim, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, truTV, and Turner Classic Movies. They will also be adding sports networks such as NBA TV and MLB Network, and you will be able to subscribe to add-on services like NBA League Pass. (Note: YouTube TV has not said when the MLB Network would be added.)
This makes YouTube TV a great choice for March Madness, for which you need TBS, TNT, and TruTV.
The downside is that starting March 14, 2018, new subscribers will pay $40 a month. The best we can tell, current subscribers will continue to pay $35 a month, so make sure to subscribe before March 14 if you want the lower price.
