Today, the music streaming service TIDAL announced that they are now offering a 50% discount for high school students ages 16 and up. Prices for these students are now $4.99 for Premium and $9.99 for HiFi memberships.
“TIDAL continues to explore new ways to ensure everyone has access to the best music streaming experience,” said Lior Tibon, COO TIDAL. “As a music and entertainment platform, our goal is to make musical knowledge, discovery, and cultural awareness accessible to all.”
“High school students are music’s tastemakers, and TIDAL is smart to be the first streaming media company to launch a personalized student offer that includes them,” said Sai Koppala, CMO of SheerID. “Making TIDAL’s exclusive media experiences easy for all students to access will extend the company’s reach and build deep customer loyalty. We’re proud to be a part of the program.”
To redeem the discount, students can create a new account on TIDAL.com and select the “High School Student” plan. Once an account is created, SheerID can instantly verify eligibility with name, school enrollment and date of birth.
Current members eligible for the High School Student plan can upgrade simply by going through the verification process.
All new subscribers will start with a 30 day free trial.
