Today, Amazon is hosting a big device event and announced two new Fire TV sticks. They where first spotted according to AFTVnews on X, and now Amazon has confirmed these new devices. This new Fire TV Max 4K is a big step up from the old model.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max has 16GB of storage, WiFi 6E, and a quad-core 2GHz processor. The biggest improvement any will notice is the remote is the same one the Fire TV Cube offers, with improved controls for your TV and the Fire TV. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max will cost $59.99 and will be available for preorder today.

There will also be the new Fire TV ambient experiences that will turn your TV into a work of art when you are not using it. You can also put widgets on the screen to have the weather and other features on your TV. This feature has already been on the Fire TV smart TVs, but now it is coming to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
Later this year your Fire TV on select devices will also turn your family photos into a work of art on your TV.
This is double the storage of the old Fire TV Stick 4K Max, going from 8GB of storage to 16GB of storage. Also, the processor is a big jump from the old 1.8GHz quad-core processor to the new 2GHz processor. The WiFi is also a nice jump from WiFi 6 to the newer WiFi 6E standard. Its clear that Amazon wants to make sure the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is one of the fastest streaming sticks on the market.
These new Fire TVs will also be able to take advantage of the newly improved Alexa AI. This will also include a more natural way to find shows on Fire TV. You will now be able to say things like show me action movies that are free and that I haven’t seen before. This new feature will roll out to Fire TV’s later this year.
Amazon also announced a newly improved continue-watching row on the home screen to show you everything you have been watching across many major streaming services.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K will be 30% more powerful, with support for WiFi 6 for even faster streaming. It will cost $49.99 and is available for preorder today. The cheaper Fire TV stick will come with the standard remote.
