If you want to ring in the new year with a new streaming device, take a look at the Fire TV options available now. In this post, we’re checking out three current Fire TV devices to help you decide which is right for your cord cutting setup.

The Fire TV Stick

For a streaming device that’s affordable, simple to use, and easy to travel with, the Fire TV Stick is a great option.

The Fire TV Stick comes with the Alexa voice remote. Use the remote to give voice commands to search content by genre and open your favorite streaming apps. You can even use it to order pizza for the perfect night in. Because of its small size, you can take the Fire TV Stick with you on the go, or use it as a secondary device outside of your main TV room.

If you want better image quality for those streaming services that offer 4K viewing, you’ll need to upgrade to the Fire TV Stick 4K.

The Fire TV Stick 4K

If you want to upgrade to be able to watch content in 4K, this is the streaming device for you.

The benefit of choosing the Fire TV Stick 4K is that you’ll get more power and better quality, while still having a streaming device that’s small enough to easily transport. Take your Fire TV Stick 4K with you when you’re traveling, or just use it in multiple rooms in your home. With your Fire TV Stick 4K, you’ll also get the newer Alexa voice remote with power and volume controls.

The Fire TV Cube offers better sound quality and allows you to connect with ethernet, but unless you’re specifically looking for those qualities, the Fire TV Stick 4K is a great streaming device at an affordable price point for a wide audience.

The Fire TV Cube

Last up in the Fire TV Cube. This is the best option if you’re looking for the best sound quality of the three Fire TV devices as it includes a built in speaker.

Like the Fire TV Stick 4K, the Fire TV Cube will let you watch content in 4K if it’s offered by your streaming service. While all three of the devices have Alexa voice command capabilities, many users note that the Fire TV Cube makes it even easier to use it because it’s an Alexa speaker system in addition to a streaming device. You’ll be able to give commands from a further distance with the Fire TV Cube as well.

The Fire TV Cube also comes with the newer Alexa voice remote with power and volume controls.

Obviously, the larger size of the Fire TV Cube means that it isn’t convenient for traveling or moving from room to room. On the other hand, it’s perfect for anchoring your cord cutting setup in your living room.
