Online dating stories must be something many viewers can relate to, or at least be interested in since Netflix’s top title of the past week happens to be none other than The Tinder Swindler.
The wild story follows the wake of destruction left by Simon Leviev, a scammer who started online relationships only to swindle the women out of hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund his lavish lifestyle. Don’t worry, he’s recently been banned from the dating app.
The Tinder Swindler premiered Feb. 2 and has had more than 45 million hours of streaming time.
Many of the other titles that ranked for the week ending Feb 6 are new to the Top Ten list, including both licensed films like Despicable Me 1 and 2, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, while others like Netflix’s Don’t Look Up are celebrating 7 weeks on the chart.
