Love Tennis but sick of having to pay for a ton of cable TV channels just to get the Tennis Channel? Today, The Tennis Channel announced that in 2024 it will launch a new streaming service with a live feed of the Tennis Channel. This will let fans of Tennis enjoy the sport they love without the need for cable TV, according to a press release sent to Cord Cutters News.
The new streaming service will include live and on-demand matches and other original programming alongside a live feed of the Tennis Channel.
“Tennis fans in the U.S. deserve a dynamic viewing experience that delivers the best tennis content and live matches right to their fingertips. With Sportradar’s industry-leading data-driven, end-to-end OTT solution, Tennis Channel will have all the tools and capabilities to meet the needs of their fans all over the U.S.,” said Patrick Mostboeck, senior VP, audiovisual at Sportradar. “We are thrilled to work closely with Tennis Channel to deliver a platform that allows them to continue to grow engagement with the sport of tennis.
No details on the pricing of the new service have been announced yet. We also don’t know an exact launch date other than early next year. Sinclair will likely announce these details as we get closer to the launch of the service.
The Tennis Channel is not the only service going directly to consumers. Disney has also announced that it plans to launch an ESPN streaming service with live feeds of ESPN channels at some point in the future.
