Wrestling fans, get ready to step into the ring, anytime, anywhere, with a new one-stop shop for everything wrestling. The Wrestling Central, a brand-new FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channel unleashed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, is entirely dedicated to the sport and art of pro wrestling.
Slamming its way onto The Roku Channel soon in the U.S. and Canada, Wrestling Central will be anchored by two powerhouse promotions—WOW – Women Of Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Promising a high-octane mix of modern matchups, historic throwdowns, with exclusive never-before-seen content. That’s everything from fresh weekly matches, classic episodes, specials, documentaries, and more for free.
Currently in its third season, WOW – Women Of Wrestling is the only all-female wrestling organization with a global footprint. Co-owned and co-founded by legendary sports executive Jeanie Buss and David McLane (creator of the original GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling), WOW brings the athleticism and spectacle of larger-than-life Superheroes and their intense rivalries with inspirational stories of drama and empowerment to the ring across live events and weekly syndication.
If you love the history of professional wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) needs no introduction. Founded in 1948, the NWA shaped the very foundations of modern wrestling. The promotion has one of wrestling’s oldest legacies and has been the proving ground for Hall of Fame talent like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, the Funk brothers, and Sting. Under the leadership of musician and wrestling enthusiast Billy Corgan, the NWA has roared back to life in modern times. Featuring stars like current champions Thom Latimer and Kenzie Paige, the NWA blends its rich legacy with today’s energy, streaming on X, YouTube, and with an unscripted series on Peacock.
“We are thrilled to be launching a new wrestling FAST channel which includes WOW – Women Of Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance to a wider audience,” says Dan Cohen, Chief Content Licensing Officer, Paramount and President, Republic Pictures. “This new FAST Channel premiering exclusively on The Roku Channel from two of the most exciting wrestling promotions will offer fans an exclusive and unique destination to catch both new, action-packed matches along with hundreds of hours of classic library content.”
With the move, Roku continues to enhance its products and provide value for no additional charge. After losing The Rich Eisen Show to ESPN, the platform’s addition of the 24/7 Wrestling Central channel gives the die-hard wrestling historian or new fans just getting into the action ways to watch WOW and NWA and their libraries without the need of a credit card or payment.
