Do you miss when MTV played music videos 24/7? The Roku Channel is hoping you will think of them as it now offers 24/7 music channels and curated playlists.

With the Roku Channel you will now find a music section on the home screen. Here you will find curated play lists like the best of Taylor Swift that offers over 3 hours of Taylor Swift music videos along with other major stars like Beyonce. You will also find 24/7 music channels curated into topics like Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock, 80s, and more.

These music channels are not new, but what is new is the push to put them all in a single area. A massive catalog of preselected playlists has also been added.

This all comes as Roku has been pushing hard to grow its catalog of movies, television shows, and more on The Roku Channel. A lot of this new content seems to be coming from iHeart radio and includes many of the free channels you would find on the iHeart radio app. These include iHeart 10s, Sunny Radio, Real Oldies, and more. Some of these channels include music videos others are just music with images.

The Roku Channel may be missing the VJs that many loved from the 80s and 90s, but it seems to have the music videos many people have been asking for.
