The imaginary stadium is modelled and rendered. In the coming years, the NFL is getting ready for negotiations to sell its rights for NFL games and the NFL Sunday Ticket. Now the NFL is consolidating its NFL media groups from 3 groups to 2 groups according to a report from The Sports Business Daily.

Recently the NFL had an option to get NFL Sunday Ticket rights back a year early from AT&T. Now we will have to wait until the end of the 2021-2022 for the NFL to open up the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket to new bidders. According to other reports, new players like Google and Amazon are both interested in bidding for the rights to NFL games.

The sale of the next round of NFL rights will likely be extremely heated as first time companies like Amazon and Google aggressively try to get rights. It seems that the NFL is consolidating as it prepares for these negotiations. The question now is will the winner be cord cutting friendly.

The good news for cord cutters is that the NFL has talked about ensuring that NFL games will be more cord cutting friendly going forward.
