Stringr has announced that they have expanded to the UK. UK media can now use Stringr’s live streaming function and will have access to the content library from videographers around the world.
Stringr is a platform that allows customers to source, edit, publish, and monetize video. With over 75,000 videographers from diverse locations, there are endless opportunities for sourcing content. The platform also recently launched a live streaming function to provide live coverage of news events.
Since the UK launch, Stringr has already added 3,000 videographers from the area to source content from both cities and more remote locations. Stringr has plans to continue recruiting videographers from across the continent.
“Stringr helps the largest media organizations in the U.S. source custom video,” said Lindsay Stewart, CEO and Co Founder of Stringr. “Offering the same service of getting video fast and at a scalable price point to companies in the U.K. is a natural extension of what we already do, and a part of our larger plan to roll out to the rest of Europe over the next year.”
Using Stringr as a resource can help users, now including those in the UK, to overcome challenges within the media industry like minimal budgets and finding sources on location. With video from both amateur and professional videographers contributing and answering requests, outlets have the ability to source premium content to keep up with the 24/7 news cycle.
