Whether you’re lounging in your living room or singing to woodland creatures, Disney’s Snow White is finally making its long-awaited streaming debut, inviting viewers of all ages to rediscover the magic. After its release on digital platforms last month, the live-action film makes its streaming debut on June 11 on Disney+.

The original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) (streaming on Disney+) was the first full-length cel-animated feature in film history, making it a huge gamble for Walt Disney. Produced for $1.5 million, it went on to earn nearly $8 million during its initial run, and has gone on to rake in over $900 million worldwide. It also holds the distinction of being the first movie to release a soundtrack album

Updated for a modern audience, this bold retelling of Walt Disney’s first-ever animated feature blends nostalgic charm with fresh storytelling. Starring Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) as Snow White and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) as the Evil Queen, the film features breathtaking visuals and a soundtrack that reimagines the classics. The original songs you know and love—like “Heigh-Ho” and “Whistle While You Work”—are joined by new music from Oscar-winning songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman), including the poignant new ballad “Waiting on a Wish.” Changes for today’s audience were made for the live-action remake. The “seven dwarfs” have been reimagined as a group of diverse and magical forest dwellers rather than literal dwarfs.

Whether you’re discovering Snow White for the first time or revisiting her story with fresh eyes, Disney+ has you covered on June 11.
