Xumo TV is a free ad-supported streaming service that works on a varity of devices. One of these devices includes LG Smart TVs. This partnership puts Xumo TV content directly into the LG WebOS guide as part of LG Channels. Now LG and Xumo have agreed to extend their partnership to keep over 50 of Xumo’s top channels free in the LG WebOS.
“Our initial and ongoing partnership with LG has laid the groundwork for XUMO to deliver what has become the next generation of television programming,” noted Colin Petrie-Norris, CEO at XUMO. “We’re thrilled to continue powering a wealth of streaming content to not only existing Channel Plus viewers in the U.S. and Canada, but to consumers the world over who demand wide choice and premium, live and on-demand streaming entertainment.”
This deal includes Eleven Sports, eSports Revolution, FailArmy, Football Daily, Motorvision, NowThis, Stingray Ambiance and This Old House. It was also reported in the press release that additional channels from Xumo would be added to LG’s free Channels service.
In total Xumo offers over 180 channels for free and has partnerships with History Channel, NBC News, CBSN, PeopleTV, and many more. This new partnership with LG should help Xumo continue to attract new content partnerships.
