Britbox has announced a partnership with BT making the Britbox streaming app available on BT TV set-top boxes. With the Britbox app, users can watch the best of Britain’s original programming with series like Downton Abbey, Doc Martin, and now the largest collection of Agatha Christie adaptations. Britbox recently reached 1 million subscribers, doubling its membership in just over one year since January 2019.
This app integration allows BT TV customers access to Britbox using their current login details, or sign up for an account for first-time users. BT TV plans to add integrated billing options for the service later this year.
“With the addition of the BritBox app, we’re continuing to offer BT TV customers access to the widest choice of the very best TV shows and films available,” said Siena Pakington, Content Director, BT. “We plan to evolve what we offer with our BritBox partnership over time, and when combined with the wider content BT TV customers have access to – it really does make BT TV the number one service for those wanting the best TV experience”
“BT TV is a fantastic partner, and we are excited that even more people will be able to enjoy the biggest box of British box-sets here on BritBox!” said Reemah Sakaan, Group Director ITV SVOD and Chief Creative & Brand Officer at BritBox.
BT TV is a subscription IPTV service offered by BT; a division of United Kingdom telecommunications company BT Group.
