Kodi (formally known as XBMC) is a powerful media center that every cord cutter should consider. While the software is great, you still need a remote to make it work. Here is our list of the best Kodi/XBMC remotes. (If you are looking for a device to run Kodi, please check out our recommendations for the best Android boxes.)

If you are looking for the best of the best, check out the Rii mini i28 2.4 GHz Wireless Air Mouse Voice Keyboard. The i28 is small but powerful, with a substantial battery and good range. Fits the hands well and works great with Kodi.

Here is our video review of the i28. It’s also one of the first reviews I ever did.

You can find the i28 on Amazon here:

If you are looking for something cheaper, I recommend the Rii i8+. It has a very similar layout to the i28 and works well. The only difference is a slightly shorter range and shorter battery life, but it is less than half the price of the i28. The keys do feel great on this remote but are a little smaller than the i28.

Here is our video review of the i8+.

If you want a full-sized keyboard, I recommend the powerful wireless Logitech K410 keyboard and touchpad. It is not rechargeable, but we have gone a whole year on one set of batteries. The K400 also has the best range of all the devices we have used, so if you need something that will allow you to control Kodi at great range try the K410.

If you really want a remote shaped keyboard we recommend the iRainy 6-axis 2.4GHz Mini Portable Wireless Air mouse:
