We often get asked what the best free streaming service is, but instead of telling you what I think, last week we asked over 3,000 of our readers what they thought.
Now there is no right or wrong answer. With a growing number of free ad-supported streaming services out there it really comes down to what you enjoy. With that said, here is the full break down of how our readers voted:
- The Roku Channel: 41.2%
- Pluto TV: 33.3%
- Tubi: 7.9%
- Sony Crackle: 6.5%
- Popcornflix: 1.2%
- Other: 9.9%
Clearly the Roku Channel has found favor among many cord cutters and is taking on long-entrenched services like Pluto TV and Tubi. The question now is can they hang on to it or will services like Sony Crackle retake the lead as the best free live TV streaming service?
It will be interesting to see what happens with Pluto TV. They are now owned by Viacom and have the backing of a major media group as well as the opportunity to access a huge catalog of Viacom content.
