The Fire TV Stick 4K has a new name – Fire TV Stick 4K Plus. The new name is meant to help customer differentiate between the models after the recent launch of the Fire TV Stick 4K Select.
Amazon changed the name of the streaming device as part of an announcement Wednesday about the new Fire TV lineup with Alexa+, saying that the name has changed but the quality and features you love remain the same.
The full Amazon Fire TV streaming device lineup now includes:
- Fire TV Stick HD: $34.99 – Full HD streaming
- Fire TV Stick 4K Select: $39.99 – Essential 4K streaming
- Fire TV Stick 4K Plus: $49.99 – Cinematic 4K streaming (previously Fire TV Stick 4K)
- Fire TV Stick 4K Max: $59.99 – Powerful 4K streaming
- Fire TV Cube: $139.99 – The ultimate hands-free 4K streaming experience
In addition to reorganizing the streaming device lineup, Amazon has also introduced two new smart TV models – the Fire TV Omni QLED Series and the Fire TV 2-Series & 4-Series.
The new flagship Omni QLED Series has a display 60% brighter than previous models, double the local dimming zones, and HDR10+ Adaptive technology for a more vibrant picture. With Omnisense technology, the TV turns on when you enter the room, displays your photos or artwork when not in use, and powers down when you leave to save energy. The Omni QLED Series is available from 50” – 75” and starts at $479.99.
The redesigned 2-Series offers crisp HD while the 4-Series offers 4K resolution. Both are 30% faster than before with a new quad-core processor and include Omnisense technology for the first time. The 2-Series and 4-Series are available from 32” to 55” and start at $159.99.
