Miami Dolphins Safety Jevon Holland did more than score a touchdown when he ran back a 99-yard interception during the Black Friday game against the New York Jets; he also ensured 84 winners would receive free 98-inch TVs courtesy of TCL.
TCL has been holding its Ultimate Gameday Upgrade sweepstakes, which unlocks big-screen TVs for contestants if specific in-game scenarios occur. As the Dolphins faced the Jets during Amazon’s first-ever Black Friday game last week, a player from either team needed to score at least a 98-yard touchdown for TCL to send a 98-inch QM8 TV to 84 randomly selected winners.
“Black Friday is all about extreme shoppers, crowded stores, and unheard-of deals. This year, the NFL added further excitement to the traditional shopping day with its first-ever Black Friday game,” said Andy Thompson, chief marketing officer for TCL. “So, it’s only fitting that as the Official TV Partner of the NFL we tied the two together in a huge, unprecedented way by offering up $1 million in big screen TVs.”
This is the biggest prize giveaway the sweepstakes will have all season, kicking off the NFL’s first Black Friday game, which streamed exclusively on Prime Video. Each week, contestants get the chance to win big screen TVs ranging from 75-inch to 98-inch if the game sees randomly predetermined plays like at least four sacks by one player or a punt return for a touchdown.
The Black Friday game was the first all season to net a win for TCL entrants. This game saw 84 contestants selected, compared to 5 to 28 possible winners for other games this season. The remaining five games range from 5 to 10 winners each.
TCL is giving away up to $1.5 million in prizes through its Ultimate Gameday Upgrade sweepstakes. Fans can enter every week through December 28 at 7:00 p.m. ET for every NFL Thursday or Friday Night Football game. Entries must be submitted by 7:00 p.m. ET on game day.
The next game is on November 30. If the final score totals more than 50 points, five winners will get a TCL TV 98-inch QM8 4K Mini-Led HDR Smart TV with Google TV.
