T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet Has A New External Antenna To Offer Faster Speeds

One of the main complaints about T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet service has been slow speeds when there is a weak 5G signal. Now, T-Mobile has a new external antenna you can add to its new modem. This antenna can be mounted on your window inside your home to offer better reception, resulting in faster and more reliable 5G home internet.

This new antenna costs $99.99, but you can also pay $8.34 a month over 12 months if you would rather pay in installments. This was first spotted by The Mobile Report, which said that this antenna only works with the new modems that T-Mobile released back in August and October. If you have a first-generation T-Mobile 5G Home Internet modem, you will be out of luck. (The first generation modem is a black box, but the new modems are white.)

If you have struggled with weak signals resulting in slow speeds from T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet, this new antenna may be a great option for you. You can find this antenna on T-Mobile’s website HERE.

Here is what T-Mobile says you need to know about this new antenna:

The T-Mobile tested and certified 5G Antenna mounts to a window inside the home to allow for flexible gateway placement.
5G Antenna is only compatible with the T-Mobile 5G Gateways “G4AR” and “G4SE” that have antenna ports.
