For some time now, there have been hints that T-Mobile will start offering home internet not wirelessly from its 5G network but through fiber to the home. Now T-Mobile has quietly rolled out its fiber home internet service to three cities.
With T-Mobile fiber home internet, pricing starts at $55 a month for 500 Mbps, and speeds go up to 1 Gbps. T-Mobile says its home internet service comes with no data caps, no contracts, cancel any time, and 24/7 support.
T-Mobile will also give you a Wi-Fi 6 router for free if you sign up for their fiber internet service.
Currently, the service is only available in New York City, Northglen CO, and Pueblo, CO. If you live in one of these markets, T-Mobile is offering next-day installs for many.
If you are lucky enough to live in one of these areas, this gives you one more option for home internet.
T-Mobile has reportedly been looking for partners to build out a fiber network for some time now. It seems for now this is just the start of T-Mobile’s home internet plans.
