Are you looking for a less expensive phone line from one of the major phone companies? T-Mobile is, for a limited time, offering two unlimited talk, text, and data plans with calling to Mexico and Canada for $75 a month. T-Mobile will waive the device connection charge, which typically is $35, when you set up a new account like this.

This limited-time offer seems to be aimed at taking on the growing number of discounted prepaid phone plans on the market. Companies like Mint are offering inexpensive discounted phone plans. Now T-Mobile is joining the fray to gain customers in this category.

The deal was first spotted by The Mobile Report. The real selling point of the plan is calling and texting to Mexico and Canada is included.

T-Mobile is facing strong competition from Comcast, Spectrum, and other cable providers that are looking at mobile phone plans to offset the losses of cable TV and now Internet losses.

T-Mobile is hoping that it can find ways to stand out from this growing number of competitors.
