This week, T-Mobile released its Q1 2025 financials, reporting net additions in every customer category. The company added 424,000 net high-speed internet customers in the first quarter, bringing its total internet customer count to 6.9 million.
When combined with an increase of 495,000 postpaid phone customers, T-Mobile saw a total increase of 1.3 million customers for Q1. The company says this was its best Q1 ever, but also the best in the industry.
Earlier this week, T-Mobile announced a 5-year price lock, guaranteeing that customers’ talk, text, and data will stay the same for five years from the time they sign up.
The company also plans to launch its T-Mobile Starlink satellite-to-cell service this summer. The beta test is currently open to everyone until the full service launches in July. After that, the service will be added at no extra cost to Experience Beyond and Go5G Next customers.
“T-Mobile delivered big yet again with outstanding Q1 results across wireless and broadband, including our best ever Q1 total
postpaid customer gross and net additions—proof that our consistent customer-first focus has put us in the best position to
succeed in this dynamic environment,” said Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile. “A record number of customers chose the Uncarrier in Q1 — we grew postpaid gross additions year-over-year across the board and our High Speed Internet business led
the industry in net customer additions for the 13th straight quarter. And all of this customer growth drove fantastic financial
growth with strong net cash provided by operating activities and our highest-ever Q1 Adjusted Free Cash Flow. This is a great
start to 2025, and we’re excited about what’s to come as we continue to deliver innovative experiences, our best-in-class
network, and unmatched value to customers.”
