Lionsgate has released its Q4 Earnings Report for 2021, revealing that STARZ and Starplay Arabia has reached 19.7 million subscribers overall. The services ended Dec. 2021 up 44% YoY compared to last year’s 18 million.

It’s been speculated that Lionsgate is looking to make some upcoming moves like possibly selling STARZ. or acquiring some or all of STX Entertainment, but not much was said on that during the call.

“We are working with a terrific team of advisers with complementary strengths and expertise as we continue the process of unlocking the shareholder value in our two core businesses. So it’s important to note that we will be providing additional updates on our progress at the appropriate time,” vice chairman Michael Burns told analysts.

“Our strategy is simple: continuing to execute a focused content approach at Starz, supplying profitable premium television series to an expanding universe of buyers, leaning into our portfolio of movie brands and franchises and benefiting from an entrepreneurial culture and a business model built around optionality,” said Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer.
