STARZ is Ditching The Weekly Release Schedule To Test Out a More Cord Cutting Friendly Method




Hate having to wait a week to see the next episode of a show you love? STARZ has heard you and today for the first time STARZ released the full second season of its VIDA show in what it is calling Binge Mode. According to sources, this is something STARZ is testing to see if this new Binge Mode will perform better for them compared to a traditional weekly release schedule.

If this ends up being a hit for STARZ look for it to be something STARZ does more in the future. Other networks have talked about switching to a more binge-friendly method but for now, most have resisted the move into binge watching. Even some streaming services like CBS All Access and Hulu have held onto the traditional weekly release schedule.
