Music can enhance a mood, so choosing the right mix for your day is essential. Today, Spotify launched a new playlist feature to help you create the ideal vibes throughout the day.

Spotify’s Daylist is an evolving playlist that updates throughout the day to cultivate a collection of songs “made for every version of you.” The playlist weaves together niche music and “microgenres” you typically listen to during the day. It can also tailor your daylist selections to specific days of the week.

The playlist is updated from sunrise to sunset, and every update adds new tracks to your daylist under a new playlist mood title. The playlist updates continuously to create rather specific music moods, such as “windows down, thrillwave Monday evening,” “happy dance,” “pumpkin spice,” and “90s rave rainforest late night.” Mobile users can see their next scheduled update on the playlist page.

The feature is another way Spotify is maneuvering to become more of an ever-present companion throughout your day, rather than the occasional listen at home or in the car.

“It’s hyper-personalized, dynamic, and playful as it reflects what you want to be listening to right now,” said Spotify when asked for comment.

You can save specific daylists by tapping the three-dot menu, selecting “Add to Playlist,” and then “New Playlist.” You can only save a daylist while it’s active. Once your list updates, the previous one will be gone forever.

Spotify also offers users three ways to share daylists:

  • A ready-made screenshot of your daylist
  • A social media sticker that captures the essence of your daylist
  • A changing share card with up to four different background graphics depending on the time of day you post your daylist

Daylist is available to Free and Premium Spotify members in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. Spotify plans to expand daylists to more countries in the upcoming months. Mobile users can find it under the Made For You Hub in the app. Searching for “daylist” on Spotify’s website or a computer brings up your personalized daily dose of music.
