Spectrum’s Latest Price Hike Will Cost Some Customers An Additional $90 Every Year

A young woman is sitting in her kitchen and is loking at her receipts at home while using a smart phoneEarlier this week we reported that if you still have Spectrum’s cable TV service to get ready to pay more. Depending on what market you are in and what package you have, you will see increases in their broadcast TV price from $8.85 to $9.95. Their receiver costs will go from $6.99 to $7.50. Digital adapters will go from $4.99 to $5.99 each, and if you have the Latino View add-on it will be going up from $7.99 to $8.99 a month. You may also see a $5 price hike on your internet service. (Will be interesting to see if they continue to charge this price as $50 5G internet continues to roll out in the United States.)

When you add it up some customers will be paying an additional $91.32 every year. (Almost as much as a year of Hulu’s limited-commercial plan. It is also more than the rumored $5 Disney service launching next year.)

As best I can tell this is the second price increase for Spectrum in 2018. Earlier this year Spectrum raised their price by over $11 a month on some subscribers. With so many price increases one has to wonder how long Spectrum can keep raising their prices before the rate of cord cutting skyrockets.
