Spectrum Cable TV Is Raising the Price of TV & Internet This Month; Here Are Your Options

Spectrum is quietly raising the rates for some of its services for the second time in less than six months. This will also be the second price hike in 2024.

TV will be going up by $3 for certain states, voice plans will increase by $3, and internet base price will go up by $3 for TV select plans. Other packages like Sports View are going up by $3 a month, and cable cards for those who still have them are increasing by $4 a month. The cost of the cable box will also increase by $1 a month.

The cost of internet is going up $3 for current plans and legacy plans will increase by $4 a month.

“Spectrum has worked with programming providers to create a new business model that provides our video customers with more choices to fit their needs and a better value for the products they purchase. Despite these ongoing efforts, some programmers continually raise fees for their content, which are passed through as increased fees to viewers and drive higher costs across the entire industry.” The Spectrum spokesperson went on to say: “Spectrum has a track record of continuous investment in our customers’ broadband experience, delivering faster speeds and the best value in a competitive marketplace—and we do it with no modem fees, no data caps and no contracts. We continue to expand and improve our offerings to ensure all customers have products and packages that best meet their needs. While our services have been impacted by rising costs, we strive to keep prices as low as possible.”
