Your ISP May Soon Be Promoting Sling TV

Couple watching videos on a laptop at homeSling TV has teamed up with NeoNova, the company behind the new ViewLocal streaming service, to promote Sling TV through your local Internet Service Provider (ISP). That means soon you may see your local ISP promoting Sling TV.

NeoNova works with small regional ISPs to offer additional services to their subscribers. Their flagship service is ViewLocal, which offers local channels through your local ISP. NeoNova works with mostly rural ISPs—markets that typically struggle to get local channels.

This will allow rural ISPs to sell ViewLocal with local channels and promote Sling TV for cable channels together making a great cable replacement without the need for a long-term contract. In the end this is a win win as rural ISPs can look like a more complete service to compete with larger ISPs and Sling TV gets new subscribers.

Here is what NeoNova promises ViewLocal can do:

Currently, NeoNova has deals with ISPs in NC, KY, TN, KS, WA, OR, ID, NE, and CO. You can find the full list of ISPs that offer ViewLocal and tell them you want your ISP added to the list on the ViewLocal website. At this time none of them seem to be promoting Sling TV but you should start to see that happen soon. Make sure to let them know you want your ISP added to the list as this only works with participating ISPs.
