After a whirlwind of rumors leading up to today, Sonos has officially announced its latest soundbar: the $799 Arc. The new speaker comes in white or black and features a curved, almost tubular appearance.
The Arc packs in 11 drivers, with two pointed upward to provide what the company calls “dramatic clarity, detail, and depth.” Other drivers include eight elliptical woofers and the Arc boasts support for Apple’s AirPlay 2 and built-in voice control. The 45-inch speaker features a 270-degree grille pattern and an optional wall mount. Other specs include support for Dolby Audio 5.1 and Dolby Atmos.

Beyond the Arc, Sonos also announced updates to other speakers, including a third-gen Sub and the Sonos Five, which replaces the Play:5 in the company’s lineup. Both reportedly offer similar sound performance, but now boast more onboard memory and faster processing performance. The new Sub carries a list price of $699, while the Sonos Five will be $499. All three are expected to ship starting on June 10th.
Rumors had been swirling about an updated soundbar and other audio gear from Sonos, and the company itself had teased some sort of announcement for today, May 6th.
