Some Older Apple TVs Will Lose Access to Netflix Next Month

Do you have na old 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV? If you do you will soon be losing access to Netflix. According to a report from Appleosophy Netflix will end support for these older Apple TV models on July 31, 2024.

Customers still using the devices should have received an email this week informing them of the change. With this Apple TV, customers will need to upgrade to a new Apple TV or some other streaming device.

This all comes as Netflix will also be ending support for some older Sony TVs. Recently, Sony announced, “Starting July 24, 2024, the Netflix app will no longer be supported on some 2014 BRAVIA televisions (Affected Models). You can continue to use the Netflix app until July 23, 2024.”

Here are all the impacted Sony models that no longer support Netflix:
