Today Sling TV announced that they are launching a new deal called the Total TV deal to offer seven add-ons and the cloud DVR feature for just $20 a month. For $20 a month you will get the Sports Extra, Kids Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra, Hollywood Extra, Comedy Extra, and Cloud DVR. The downside is the Sports Extra add-on is going up $5 a month to $10 a month as a stand-alone add-on.
Here is how Sling TV describes the new packages and pricing:
· Total TV Deal – Sling TV customers can now take advantage of our Total TV Deal, which includes seven Extras plus 50 hours of Cloud DVR for $20 (a $45 value). For Sling Orange customers, the Total TV Deal adds nearly 80 channels to their Sling TV subscription. Customers can add the Total TV Deal to their subscription by visiting sling.com, selecting “My Account” and then “Change Subscription.”
· Sports Extra pricing – Since launching Sports Extra as part of our initial offering in 2015, we have added popular channels to the offering, including MLB Network, NHL Network, NBA TV and more. Starting today, the price of Sports Extra for Sling Orange customers will be $10 per month. The price of Sports Extra will remain unchanged at $10 per month for Sling Blue customers, as well as customers who subscribe to both Sling Orange and Sling Blue services.
With the new Total TV Deal added to the Sling Orange or Sling Blue package, you can get a huge list of TV channels for just $45 a month and have access to Sling TVs cloud DVR. If you are a Sling Orange subscriber with the Sports Add-on you can now get six extra add-ons for just $10 more.
