Last Saturday, Sling TV lost access to ESPN, BTN, and FS1 as some unknown issue took the channels off of Sling TV. Now Sling TV is offering $10 credits to customers who ended up being impacted by this outage to “make this right.”

In the email to customers Sling TV said, “to make up for it, we’re crediting your account $10 to go towards your next transaction.” This will take up to 48 hours to appear and can be used for your next subscription, pay-per-view event, movie rental, or service add-on. If you didn’t get the email about this credit you will need to contact Sling TV customer service for help.

Exactly what resulted in the outage that resulted in ESPN, BTN, and FS1 vanishing was unknown. The good news for affected customers was their Sling TV logins let them access the ESPN of Fox Sports app to still watch their favorite sports teams.

This all comes as Sling TV added 117,000, and DISH lost 181,000 subscribers in the 3rd quarter of 2023. In total, DISH now has 8,840,000 pay TV customers between the two brands, down from 8,904,000 during the same period in 2022. Sling TV now has 2.12 million subscribers, and DISH has 6.72 million subscribers.

DISH was not aviablie for comment on what caused the outage.
