Sling TV’s free, ad-supported streaming service Freestream officially added another nine new live free channels this week to its growing lineup of free channels, including channels from A+E Networks.
Since launching the service, DISH has been ramping up the number of channels on Freestream, which is separate from its pay service, Sling TV, or parent DISH’s satellite service. These so-called FAST services have grown in popularity over the last year with nearly every company offering some variant. Consumers have increasingly moved towards them as the cost of other streaming services has gone up in recent years.
Freestream now offers more than 430 free channels and more than 41,000 on-demand titles.
