Sling TV’s free ad-supported streaming service Freestream added 11 channels this week, continuing a steady drip of new content on a weekly basis.
This comes on top of the eight channels last week and the nine from the week before. In total, it offers more than 430 free channels and more than 41,000 on-demand titles. Notable additions include a channel dedicated to YouTubers Rhett & Link and one centered on hit Korean-Canadian sitcom Kim’s Convenience, starring Simu Liu (Shang-Shi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka).
It’s one of a growing number of free ad-supported platforms that has steadily grown its library of content in a bid to draw in audiences fatigued from having to spend so much on subscription services. These platforms, particularly Roku Channel and Tubi, are seeing rapid growth in viewers.
Sling TV Freestream is available through the Sling app on Amazon, Roku, Comcast, LG, Samsung, Xbox, and Vizio devices and continues to roll out across other major devices, providing customers a no-barrier entry point to high-quality programming without any payment or credit card required.
