Two weeks ago Sling TV announced several new major updates to the Sling TV user interface. Now you have the option of a new grid guide to ways to find your content easier.
“To help you navigate all the great content we offer, today were announcing some new updates to the user interface for Android users, which will begin to roll out to users today. We will continue to roll updates to all Android users in the next several days, and will expand these UI updates to additional devices in the coming weeks.” Said Ben Weinberge Sling TV’s Chief Product Officer.
Now that new Sling TV traditional guide is available on Fire TV and Fire Stick players. The update is now rolling out to Fire TV and Fire Stick players but it may take a few days for your Fire TV player to have the new app.

Here is a quick breakdown of what is new:
- Grid Guide Weve listened to customer feedback and incorporated a traditional grid guide option to allow viewers to quickly browse whats on now, filter channels by genre and see the upcoming schedule of every channel in one glance.
- Featured Movies and Shows In the coming weeks, were adding new Featured content ribbons to MyTV, starting with Featured Movies and Featured Shows, to make it easier to discover our deep library of on-demand content.
- Whats Hot Now On Now is getting smarter by showing the most popular events and shows first, through added intelligence in our live content sorting system for easy, one-click access.
- Shows Screen In the next few weeks, were launching a new screen dedicated to TV shows. Shows will make finding a TV series to watch simple, sorting shows by genres like drama, lifestyle, comedy, crime, sci-fi, action or kids. With more than 31,000 episodes of on-demand shows from Sling, finding a show to watch is more important than ever.
