Today Dish the parent company behind Sling TV and the AirTV announced a new dual tuner version that will allow users to record two shows at once. The new Dual-Tuner adapter can be added to existing AirTV Players for just $29. Or you can buy the Air TV Player with dual-tuner adapter for just $119. That is a slight price drop from what the old AirTV and USB tuner sold for when it was first announced at $129. (You can still buy the single tuner AirTV and adapter for just $99.)
“We are committed to making it as easy as possible to view free local channels alongside other popular streaming content through our AirTV products,” said Mitch Weinraub, director of product development for AirTV. “Now, with the dual-tuner adapter, customers are able to watch their hometown team on a local channel while recording an episode of a popular show on a separate local channel, meaning they won’t miss any of their favorite programming.”
The AirTV not only lets you stream Sling TV but also allows you to add your antenna directly into the Sling TV user interface. You can also use the AirTV to DVR your antenna through the Sling TV app. It also gives you access to a ton of apps like Netflix to stream even more content.
