Sling TV announced today the addition of NHL Center Ice, making Sling the first streaming service to integrate the channel. Viewers can subscribe to NHL Center Ice as a standalone service or add it on to their base subscription for $29/month.

With NHL Center Ice, hockey fans will have access to up to 40 live, out of market games each week for the full season. The games are in addition to games available on NBCSN, NHL Network and local channels.

“We’re thrilled to give our customers and hockey fans everywhere NHL Center Ice on SLING TV, which will offer the best NHL experience in the game,” said David Teplinsky, vice president of Programming and Strategy, SLING TV. “With the addition of live, must-see sports programming like NHL Center Ice, we continue to deliver better value and more choice to our customers who want a high quality streaming TV experience across traditional TV and mobile devices.”

While a monthly subscription is slightly cheaper at $24.99/month when going directly through the NHL TV site, Sling TV subscribers will appreciate having the channel added to their regular Sling TV channel guide and being able to DVR games to watch later.
