NBA1Sling TV’s CEO Roger Lynch just announced to twitter that “Good news Sling fans! Viacom channels aren’t going anywhere on our service, PLUS you’ll get access to NBATV very soon”.

When asked for more details Roger Lynch added “You want more NBA? You got it! NBATV is on its way to Sling very soon. Check back at http://blog.sling.com  for launch details.”

This announcement from Sling comes the day after PlayStation Vue announced that they are adding NBA TV starting today and will be losing all viacom-owned networks. Sony said they have “determined that removing the bundle of channels from Viacom is the best way for us to continue to offer the most compelling value to our fans”.

From our understanding the following channels are being removed:

MTV
MTV2
Nickelodeon
Nick Jr.
Nicktoons
VH1
Comedy Central
Spike
TV Land
BET
MTV Live
MTV Classic
MTVU
Logo TV
NickMusic
CMT
CMT Music
BET Gospel
BET Jams
BET Soul
Centric

For now that is all we know but the battle for your online streaming dollar between Sling TV and PlayStation Vue seems to once again be in a fight for every channel.
