Simply The Best Tina Turner Tribute Coming to Bounce TV

Yesterday, the “Queen of Rock and Roll” passed away at age 83 in Switzerland. Over the course of her impressive career, Tina Turner sold over 100 million records globally, earned 12 Grammy Awards, and a top spot in musical history.

As a final send-off, Bounce TV will pay tribute to the musical legend Tina Turner with a special presentation of Tina Turner: Simply the Best. The critically acclaimed 2021 documentary will air this Saturday on May 27th at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Tina Turner: Simply the Best was written by Jordan Hill and narrated by Dani States. Its synopsis reads, “The odds were against her. Learn how singer Tina Turner reached super-stardom with her high-energy style and gravelly voice and prevailed as the ‘Queen of Rock and Roll’’. Archived footage of Tina Turner is intertwined with her life story, creating a unique, in-depth look at her life’s journey.

Bounce’s video-on-demand subscription service, Brown Sugar, will also showcase the documentary in addition to its FAST channel Bounce XL. These services will air Tina Turner: Simply the Best on Sunday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. ET.
