Three happy young men watching football game and keeping arms raised while sitting on sofaDid you buy the big Mayweather vs McGregor fight on PPV view but couldn’t watch the fight because of streaming issues? Well Showtime is going to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased the fight from Showtime’s new PPV streaming services but had issues that prevented them from watching the fight.

“We have received very limited number of complaints overall,” said Chris DeBlasio, senior VP of communications for Showtime Sports. “We are reviewing all of them carefully and will respond to them accordingly.”

Streamers weren’t the only ones to have issues the fight had to be delayed over issues with the PPV on some cable networks. Yet some streaming services did better than others.

Reports from our readers Sling TV was the only service to have no widespread issues streaming the McGregor vs Mayweather fight.

Yet sadly only Showtime is offering refunds right now. Angry Twitter users are saying UFC Fight Pass has said they will not issue refunds. (UFC did not respond to a request for comment.) Others like Sling TV had a smooth streaming experience.

Two other services seemed to do well with the PPV stream, but we still heard a few complaints. First, the new Showtime PPV service that launched for the fight. Only a handful of readers reported issues. Second, Sony’s Live Events service, which is a standalone service separate from PlayStation Vue. We only heard a few complaints about both services. Far fewer than what cable or UFC users experienced.

If you would like a refund you must request it from your service you purchased the PPV event from. It is up to the service you purchased the event from to decided if they will issue a refund.
