Shout! TV Celebrates the Best in Black Entertainment For Black History Month

Shout! TV presents a curated list of titles for Black History Month to honor the best in Black music, performances, comedy, and sports. The collection features entertainment icons such as Aretha Franklin and Whoopi Goldberg, spanning multiple industries, and is available to stream starting this month.

The Celebrating Black Voices watchlist includes sketch shows, talk shows such as the Best of Flip Wilson, and films including Good Fences and Luv. The watchlist also includes documentaries featuring Black talents from across multiple professions, including Women in Motion: Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek, And The Remaking of NASA, Mandela and De Klerk, and Where We’re From: Rise of L.A. Underground Hip Hop, as well as spotlights on The Temptations, Sidney Poitier, and Queen Latifah.

Shout! TV also showcases comedians, including Eddie Murphy, Flip Wilson, and Richard Pryor, and legendary athletes, such as Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, and Serena Willimas. Audiences can also catch show-stopping musicians like The Jackson 5 and Diana Ross.

This is the fourth year Shout! TV has hosted a tribute watchlist to spotlight influential Black figures such as B.B. King, Jackie Robinson, and James Brown for Black History Month. The collection is available to stream for free from February 1 onward.
