After dropping some initial details during the online-only CES 2021 earlier this year, Samsung is back this week with more info on its 2021 lineup of TVs and other home entertainment gear. The company held a virtual unboxing event today to discuss everything from Micro LEDs to Neo QLEDs to soundbars and more.
Neo QLED 4K and 8K
The company’s Neo QLED line will come in 4K and 8K variants ranging from 55 to 85 inches in size. These Mini LED-packing models use smaller LED components than traditional LED TVs and the company says that means they can pack more of them into each model to offer more accurate colors and contrast.

Lifestyle TVs
Some of the company’s Lifestyle series of design-focused TVs are also getting updates this year. The 2021 version of The Frame TV is now currently available for preorder on Samsung’s site. Appropriately enough, The Frame’s design mimics a traditional picture frame and the goal is to better blend in with your home’s overall decor — there are different frame styles to choose from.

QLED 4K
Samsung’s 2021 line of non-Neo QLEDs are also available for preorder. While they lack the Neo’s fancy Mini LED tech and the associated perks, the price points might be more compelling for some shoppers.

Micro LED
And for those who want something a tad larger, the company’s line of Micro LED displays will be available toward the end of March starting with screen sizes of 110 inches and 99 inches. An 88-inch version is set for this fall, while a smaller 76-incher is also in the works, though the company didn’t share a specific time frame.
Pricing for those models wasn’t shared at this week’s event, but we’re not expecting them to be “budget” models. In any case, we’ll keep an eye out for more details from Samsung as their release dates draw closer.
