Mi_logoNew rumors suggest Xiaomi could be ready to release a compact media streaming stick as early as this month.  A purportedly leaked product roadmap tweeted out by tipster Sudhanshu1414 depicts a number of products on the company’s release schedule, ranging from robovacs to electric scooters. But the highlight, for streaming fans at least, is a diminutive HDMI device going by the name Mi TV Stick.

The company makes a wide range of consumer electronics, including an Android TV-powered Mi Box S and an ultra-short-throw projector (both available at Walmart). But this new device appears to be the company’s take on portable, compact streamers like the Roku Streaming Stick or Amazon’s Fire TV Stick. It’s unclear at this point whether the Mi TV Stick is destined for release in the US, but we’ll certainly keep you posted. With fresh rumors of an updated Apple TV earlier this week, it could be an interesting few months on the streaming hardware front.
