Millennials love their 90s and 2000s comfort comedy:
- Ace Ventura, Beerfest, and Uncle Drew were favorites.
Gen X leans into classic slapstick:
- Caddyshack, Blazing Saddles, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles led the way.
Boomers, unsurprisingly, still appreciate the classics:
- The Three Stooges and Animal House topped their list, with Young Frankenstein appearing for both Gen X and Boomers.
Who’s Making America Laugh?
Roku also shared the most-searched comedians this season, showing that stand-up and sketch comedy are thriving in the streaming world:
- Nate Bargatze
- Kevin Hart
- Eddie Murphy
- Jim Gaffigan
- Robin Williams
- George Lopez
- Gabriel Iglesias
- Matt Rife
- Nikki Glaser
- Pete Davidson
And when broken down by generation, Norm Macdonald dominated across the board. Norm appeared in the top 5 for Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers. Now that’s a lasting legacy.
