If you have the most recent Roku update, you may have noticed a new feature being offered. Roku started to ask Roku users if it could auto arrange the home screen icons. It seems Roku is testing out automatically putting the icons people use most often at the top of the screen.
For now, this is an optional beta test. Only a small number of Roku users have access to it. Sadly, if you are not a part of this beta test, you cannot ask to join it. If you are in the beta test group, you have the option to let Roku put the apps you use most in the place they are easiest to find.
Roku often beta tests features like this long before it rolls them out. It was almost eight months after Roku started testing its new home screen with smaller app icons before the feature rolled out to all Roku users.
Also, Roku has a history of testing features but never actually releasing the features/changes to all Roku users. As with many tech companies, they test new ideas and see how people respond. If the response is negative, they will often not move forward.
For now, we will have to wait and see if Roku moves forward with this new feature or if it ends up on the pile of failed ideas.
