If you use Roku’s default screen saver, you may have noticed a fresh new look. Imagine a city as dense in population as New York and as bright as Tokyo. The new “City Stroll: Movie Magic” screen saver feels like you’re driving by a cityscape with dozens and dozens of popular movie and TV references. Take a cruise under the glowing lights and explore a city filled with movie magic.
Here is what the new screensaver looks like:
If you’ve set a personalized screen saver, Roku will not replace it. You can find “City Stroll: Movie Magic” in the Roku Channel Store. If you have a Roku Ultra, where the “Aquatic Life” screen saver is the default screen saver, you can also find “City Stroll: Movie Magic” in the Roku Channel Store. If you miss the old screen saver, “Big City Stroll,” now called, “City Stroll: Skyline,” you can also find it in the Roku Channel Store.
This all comes after Roku just announced that their spring 2018 update will be their Roku OS 8.1 update. With this update, you will find a ton of backend bug fixes and a few front end changes. Hopefully, more fun updates are in store for Roku later this month when 8.1 rolls out.
