Roku Announces New Plans for 2019

Yesterday Roku announced their 4th quarter 2018 numbers. Roku beat expectations: one in four smart TVs sold in the United States was a Roku TV.

Now Roku is giving us a look into the future of Roku including a goal of making $1 billion in revenue in 2019.

Here is what Roku announced:

As for revenue in 2019, Roku said: “In 2019, we expect to reach $1 billion in revenues, or roughly 36% year-over-year growth, with Platform revenue representing roughly two-thirds of total revenue. We estimate total gross profit should grow at roughly the same rate as revenues, or 36% year-over-year at the midpoint, to just over $450 million.”
