Our experience using the K12:

After testing the Mini One as my primary keyboard for the laptop/media center for a few days I was shocked at how well it did. The Mini One charges with a Micro USB cable allowing you to use your phone charger.  The auto shut off greatly extending the battery power and I turned it off at night. Allowing me to not recharge the keyboard during testing.

The range in our testing was about 30ft. At 30 feet we noticed no issues reaching the laptop located behind a couch and heavy TV stand.

To my eye there was no lag between clicking a key and the action on the screen. The was also no issue syncing the function keys like volume and pause/play. We just plugged the keyboard in and it worked.

The Mini One is definitely a keyboard to consider for your home entertainment PC.
