Today, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment announced that it is expanding its Redbox Perks rewards program. Now not only do you get points by renting disks at kiosks but also by renting movies to stream at Redbox. With this new offer by renting movies through the Redbox app to stream on Roku, Vizio, Samsung TVs, and more, you can get points for free rentals or $2 off other rentals.
“This expansion of our Perks program gives our customers even more opportunities to redeem for their next rental,” said Maura Gray, senior vice president of marketing for Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment. “We have consistently heard from our members their eagerness to engage more with Redbox and enjoy the ability to redeem points physically and digitally. We’re thrilled to provide our customers more value and reward them even more for watching movies with us.”
Redbox currently has over 29,000 Redbox Kiosks and offers the ability to buy or rent movies streaming online.
This comes as Redbox and nine other steaming companies have announced a partnership to create the Independent Streaming Alliance (ISA). These companies include Allen Media Group, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, Cineverse, Future Today, kweliTV, Revry, Scripps, Tastemade, TMB (Trusted Media Brands), and Vevo. These companies want to work together to help grow streaming.
