Tonight TENGA is launching a new over the air TV network called Quest. This network is launching in about 25 markets around the United States with more on the way. So make sure to do a scan on your antenna to see if you have a new OTA channel tonight.
According to TENGA Quest will “capture the wonder, imagination and excitement of the natural and man-made world and features shows about natural history, engineering and science, as well as military history and man’s greatest achievements.”
“As part of TEGNA’s ongoing content transformation initiative, we are always examining ways to reach new and underserved audiences through entertaining, informative and relevant content across platforms,” said Dave Lougee, president and CEO, TEGNA. “Quest will do just that. It will offer engaging programming that will appeal to a national audience currently under-represented by multicast networks. Launching Quest across our portfolio is also a cost-effective and advantageous use of our valuable distribution capabilities.”
“Quest is a fresh take on a nature and science factual entertainment network designed specifically for the growing over-the-air multicast audience,” said Steve Schiffman, CEO of Cooper Media. “We are thrilled to build on our thriving partnership with TEGNA to fill a programming gap in the multicast space and to double down on the growing over-the-air segment.”
This is not TEGNA’s first OTA network as they first launch the Justice Network back in 2015. The Justice Network focuses on Crime programs like “I Survived” and works with big names in Crime TV like John Walsh.
Quest will launch in over 25 markets later this year including Austin; TX, Dallas; TX, St Louis; MO, Grand Rapids; MI, Seattle; WA, San Fransico; CA, and more. You can find the full list on Quest’s website HERE.
The network will include shows like Storm Chasers, Modern Marcels, Dangerous Flights, DogFights, SCI-TREK, WWI: The First Modern War, and more.
