What is Project Hail Mary About?

Project Hail Mary stars Ryan Gosling as science teach Ryland Grace who one day wakes up on a spaceship light years from home, with no idea who he is or how he got there. Throughout the movie, his memory starts to come back and discovers that he’s on a mission to save the sun before it’s destroyed by a mysterious substance.

Ryland finds himself on a mission to save the world using his scientific knowledge, with the help of an unexpected new friend with a challenge of their own.
